Loving....Klutz Chicken Socks Books

Klutz makes the best little activity books. Gracie loves her Super Scissors and Paper Puppy books (thanks Irene and Laura!) and has literally cut them into hundreds of pieces. I thought these also look great for spurring imagination and creativity so I may pick them up for a little girl who is turning four years old (!!!) in two weeks. Tissue please.

On Our Bookshelf :: The Slow Race

A mama recommended this lovely book to us this weekend at the Ohana Family Gathering. Hopefully, it will be on our bookshelf soon!

What a simple, ingenious idea. You use the wood pieces  to recreate the story as it unfolds, shaping it into a butterfly, boy, bicycle, etc.

Le Petit Princess

We don't really have enough room for this lovely rocket in our cottage but we know a few friends who do. Many of whom LOVE outer space as much as my little princess. They have this "Color Me Rocket" at the Playstore right now. Made in USA!

Our Art Cart

We bought this little art cart from Under the Nile a few years ago and it really was a great purchase! It does such a good job keeping Gracie's favorite art supplies together and it is portable so she can tote it around the house, outside or on an adventure. Some of her favorite art supplies are wax blocks, colored pencils, and her current favorites, tape and scissors!!! She spends HOURS everyday cutting and taping various art treasures. We have a second one designated for crafts that holds stickers, beads, yarn, etc.

I love this adorable Made by Me car set and know lots of little friends that would as well. What a fun stocking stuffer, party favor, or as Gracie would say "just because you love me?" gift.

Perfect Container Edible Garden

I love the idea of planting your garden with recipes already in mind. Sunset has a great article this month about a simple container garden with four basic plants (tomato, basil, jalepeno, and chives)

with three summer must have recipes (pasta with toms and basil, gazpacho and Bloody Mary.) This would be a great gift idea too! Give a pot of veggies and herbs with some of your favorite recipes.
